Barry has over 20 years of coaching and athlete management experience, accumulating local, national and international titles. He has coached at an international level, serving the Australian team competing at the 2019 IFMA World Muay Thai Championships.
Barry first began taking a keen interest in Muay Thai under the guidance of David Hussey, and later under Anthony Dutton. He has a varied martial arts background and has competed under full Muay Thai rules.
He has achieved a Level 6, 3rd degree red singlet (white logo) rank in BJMA Muay Thai, and qualified as a Muay Thai trainer with the World Kickboxing Association.
Barry is a Boxing SA registered Level 1 Boxing Coach, is registered as a professional Muay Thai Coach with the Government of South Australia, and holds a Senior First Aid Certificate.
His teaching interests include the provision of simple but effective self defence strategies to primary and high school students.
Barry is currently studying the final year towards a Bachelor of Laws, and holds a number of graduate and postgraduate business qualifications. Having a background in management and leadership, Barry enjoys mentoring and helping people from all walks of life.
