Grading at Southside Muay Thai
Progress you can see. Goals you can hit.
At Southside, we don’t just train — we track your growth. Our grading system gives you clear, achievable goals so you always know where you’re at and what’s next.
Whether you’re 3 months in or 3 years deep, grading is your chance to test yourself, build confidence, and celebrate how far you’ve come.
What is Grading?
Grading is how we measure your progress through Muay Thai. It covers everything from fundamentals to advanced technique.
We run 3–4 gradings per year, and every grading is designed to be supportive — not stressful. There’s no pass or fail. If something needs more work, our coaches will help you get there in regular classes.
This isn’t a test. It’s a checkpoint.
Why We Grade
- Structure — so your training has direction, not just repetition
- Confidence — proving to yourself what you’re capable of
- Accountability — consistent effort gets recognised
- Community — grading together builds connection and respect
- Safety — making sure your skills match your level
