I was born in South Africa and moved here in 2010. My love for sport came at a very early age, always wanting to be the fastest or the strongest, even as a kid. My sporting journey started in competitive gymnastics and netball. Moving into high school I played volleyball as well and regularly participate in different forms of exercise – Les Mills classes, Pilates, hiking, you name it. I love staying active and finding ways to make exercise fun, while still challenging myself, and pushing myself to be better. I have always loved coaching and training people, having coached multiple volleyball and netball teams throughout the last few years.
Outside of the gym I am a full-time university student, currently studying a Bachelor of Criminology with a Bachelor of Laws.
I began my Muay Thai journey in 2023, but my love for martial arts/combat sports had begun many, many years prior. From a young age I always wanted to learn how to fight and defend myself (I might have watched a few too many spy movies). After one class of Muay Thai I was hooked and have not looked back since. I currently train in the fight team, and I hope to get a few more fights (and wins) to my name.
My role here at Southside lies with taking 1-on-1 personal training, teaching the Tigers, Teens, and Foundations group classes. I am keen to pass on my knowledge and experiences to members, as well as help to foster a safe and welcoming space. Hopefully, you find the same love for this sport that I have found. I look forward to seeing you guys in the gym!
