MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

Effective 14 December 2018

Entering into a membership is deemed as acceptance of the terms and conditions, as varied from time to time.

  1. You are required to pay for your membership in full, until you cancel or place your membership on hold. Membership charges continue to accrue and are payable regardless of whether you attend the gym. Expiry, cancellation or suspension are the only means by which membership charges can be stopped from accruing to your account.
  1. If a payment is returned unpaid by your financial institution, we will charge you a $10 late payment fee. We reserve the right to immediately re-present outstanding payments to your financial institution until we have successfully received payment.
  1. If you do any of the following: (a) cancel your credit or debit card; (b) terminate the Ezidebit direct debit authority (DDR); (c) close your bank account; and if either (a) (b) or (c) results in a payment(s) being returned unpaid by your financial institution, you will remain liable for fulfilling any unpaid payments.
  1. Unpaid membership fees and memberships in arrears will be sent to our Solicitors or a collections agent for recovery. All costs incurred will be borne by you.
  1. All membership fees are to be paid in advance on either a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

Casual ‘No Contract’ Membership

6A. Cancellation or suspension of your membership is allowed at any time with.

6B. A $10 fee is payable in relation to every request for cancellation or suspension.

6C. Cancellation or suspension requests must be made in writing and sent by email to info@southsidemuaythai.com.au. Verbal requests or requests sent by other means will not be accepted.

6D. At least 14 days’ notice is required to process a cancellation or suspension request. This means that we cannot cancel or suspend your membership if the effective date for suspension or cancellation occurs less than 14 days into the future. Please allow for the required notice when submitting your request.

6E. Cancellation or suspension cannot occur if your membership payments are in arrears.

6F. If 4 consecutive payments are returned unpaid by your financial institution, the arrears amount will be sent to our Solicitors or a collections agent for recovery. All costs incurred will be borne by you.

12 Month ‘Contract’ Membership

7A. Cancellation or suspension is NOT allowed within the contract term of 12 months.

7B. If 4 consecutive payments are returned unpaid by your financial institution, the arrears amount will be sent to our Solicitors or a collections agent for recovery. All costs incurred will be borne by you.

7C. Upon expiry of your 12 month term, you will be automatically transferred onto a no contract ‘casual’ membership.

7D. Charges will continue to accrue in relation to the no contract ‘casual’ membership, until you cancel or suspend the membership.

7E. Cancellation or suspension cannot occur if your membership payments are in arrears.

7F. Cancellation or suspension requests must be made in writing and sent by email to info@southsidemuaythai.com.au. Requests sent by other means, including verbal, will not be accepted. Cancellation or suspension will not be accepted on an account with an outstanding balance.

Protective Equipment

  1. The sharing of gloves, hand wraps and shin pads is a health risk and a recreational safety issue to all members.
  1. We will provide gloves and shin pads for use in the first class only. Thereafter, it is compulsory for you to purchase your own gloves, hand wraps and shin pads for your own use.
  1. Should you not be able to purchase your own equipment, hire equipment is available for a fee. Simply speak to one of our coaches to determine availability.

Key Tags

  1. All members will be provided with a membership key tag.
  1. It is compulsory for all members to present their key tag to the card reader at reception.
  1. If you lose your key tag, free replacements are available from reception.

Authorisation & Consent

If you are under 18 years of age a PARENT/GUARDIAN is required to sign.
