Q: When and why did you start Muay Thai training?

A: I started training February 2017, I had just finished school and wanted to start achieving something in my life and I didn’t want to be led astray by the wrong crowd. I always watched a few too many ufc videos and I had a friend train at southside I was interested in giving it a shot, once I had my free trial I knew I wanted to learn more.

Q: What did you find the most challenging thing when you first started training?

A: My form of course and getting a little too distracted watching the fight team rather than following instructions.

Q: What keep's you coming back?

A: Muay thai gave me a sense of accomplishment that I haven’t found in any other sport, it helped me become more self-aware and helped my mental and physical health, Muay thai has helped me relax and helped me develop skills both inside and outside the gym, also learning something new each session just ultimately made me want to keep improving, it was difficult at first but once you start to learn the basics it all began to fall in place.

Q: Describe the members you train with here?

A: The members at the gym are always very nice and friendly, everyone is here to learn and improve and to help others learn and improve, no matter what level of training you’re at everyone at the gym is treated equally, it definitely isn’t a gym full of egos and everyone can get along.
