Some Basic Principles Regarding Weight Loss
The key to loosing weight is consistent exercise and calorie controlled eating.
Regular Exercise
Regular training is needed to metabolise and burn excess calories. At first, start exercising in short sessions twice per week. As you become fitter, increase to 3-4 sessions per week.
Walking is a great way to get your exercise routine started. As you progress, start increasing the intensity by building up your walk to a light jog. The best time of the day to walk or jog is in the morning on an empty stomach.
Food Intake
Training is hard work. Don’t spoil your hard work by fueling yourself with junk.
Keep your goal focused and remember the 80/20 rule. Eat low calorie fresh foods at least 80% of the time, and ensure you drink plenty of water. Fresh food does not come in a packet or tin, so remember to stay away from processed foods.
